Curvin E. "Cork" Heiss, 76, of Manheim, passed away on June 16, 2014 at the Lebanon VA Medical Center. Formerly of Lititz, he was born in York, and was the son of the late Curvin and Evelyn Pressel Heiss. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Goldie Eckert Heiss.
Cork was a veteran and served in the U. S. Army. He was a member of the Lititz Mennonite Church, and he retired from Lancaster Malleable Casting Co. after 29 years as a core inspector.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Beth Ann Eckert, Conestoga; 5 grandchildren, Andrea, Amy, Nicolas, Sierra, Celeste; 6 great grandchildren, Morgan, Alice, Claire, Makayla, Limarys, Jayson; and a foster sister, Phyllis Mummert, Abbottstown. He is preceded in death by a son, Anthony "Tony" Eckert.
Funeral Services for Cork will be on Friday, June 20, at the Richard H. Heisey Funeral Home, 216 S. Broad St., Lititz at 11 a.m., with a viewing from 9 to 11 a.m. Interment will be at the convenience of the family.
